DC Comics has a long history of picking up characters from other publishers and folding them into its universe. Quality Comics and Fawcett Comics are two of the better-known examples, but they’re not the only ones. Charlton Comics published from the mid-1940s until the mid-1980s, and in 1983, it sold its Action Heroes line to DC.
